The land is getting greener with every passing day, the birds are nesting and I’m roaming through sprouting brush and flowers again. That can only mean one thing: Spring is here! What can I say, it’s a ruff life!
The humans are preparing for the 2016 season here at Mendocino Magic, and I get to hang out with some friends of the property who are coming up to help with their human tasks. I’m supervising the building project for Portals Stage, a stage nestled between Mill Pond and Bucket Pond that will be host to small acoustic concerts this summer. Overseeing the landscaping projects by our Reservoir is another of my many responsibilities here.
Being the diligent spirit animal I am, I have also helped scout out new campsite locations for this seasons. Campers will be able to book stargazing at Observatory Camp on our airstrip, hummingbird watching at Rumplestiltskin Camp, and hang with more friends than ever in the new group camp at the Logger's Cabin! Bring your boots for the mud and I’ll show you around to all the new spots that are perfect for your summer getaway (also great places to give me belly rubs and feed me bacon, jus'sayin.)
