Mendocino Magic Retreat: to unplug, unwind, unleash…

Incredibly beautiful retreat of nearly 600 acres offers 4 attractively furnished homes available by the weekend, week or month. This is real “Huck Finn” territory of gorgeous land and water, where you can “unplug” in serenity and privacy but have the comfort of well-appointed homes within a natural playground of endless foliage, swimming (in our pool or our reservoir), great bass fishing, kayaking, hiking numerous trails, or mellowing out poolside or in our hot tub. You are enjoying a place to sleep, but more, you are taking in hundreds of acres of some of nature’s best work. The property includes a 30 acre private reservoir – a rare find of this size - and 6 fishing ponds. You will experience a slowdown in time, have the comfort of birds singing, and enjoy breathtaking views. Mendocino Magic is the place you will want to return to and call home. Family reunions, weddings, corporate retreats, music venues on our 1600 sq. ft. stage, birthdays and anniversaries, or a romantic get-away for two in our Arbor Suites or lakeside tent sites – you will make fond memories and return to Mendocino Magic.

Emerson Lodge
Our main residence spanning 2400 sq. feet is often used for indoor group meetings or large gatherings. The cathedral two-story vaulted living room includes a piano, and can accommodate several dozen visitors comfortably, with both dining and meeting space on the large adjacent deck. The residence sleeps up to 10: 8 in the fantasy bunk room which resembles a favorite story book, The Seven Dwarfs. The master bedroom sleeps 2 in the high-ceiling chamber, with a beautiful antique queen poster bed and full private bath with tub and bidet. The residence has a well-appointed kitchen with dishwasher, gas stove and fridge, blender, toaster, microwave, utensils/cookware and dining setups (cutlery, dishes, glasses) for twelve. Outdoor deck includes a standard size propane barbecue and outdoor furniture. A bonus room is the ‘Game Parlor” with a full size pool table, a swap-a-book library and board games. Emerson Lodge also has a second full bath on the main floor.

Jennifer Cottage
A three minute walk from the Emerson Lodge and a reach out and touch view of Jennifer Pond…and ready for fishing off Jennifer’s deck! Jennifer is a 1200 sq. ft. cottage which includes three bedrooms, each stepping out of French doors on to the cottage deck. Two bedrooms offer queen size beds, and the third bedroom includes a set of twin beds. Jennifer includes one full bath and a well-appointed kitchen with small appliances, utensils and eating setups for 8. There is a propane barbecue on the Jennifer deck, with outdoor table and seating.

The Arbor
Madrone and Madera Suites:
The original owner’s private residence, these duo suites are a three minute walk from Jennifer Cottage, and are the closest accommodations to the lanai and stage. They each include a well-proportioned bedroom with queen bed, and private bath. Madera includes a living room, dining room with piano and large kitchen with dishwasher. Madrone Suite offers a living room with stone fireplace, mid-size kitchen, and eating deck with barbecue off the living room. Each suite includes kitchen utensils, cookware, and dining sets ups for 6.

Party Lanai:
30ft by 60ft.covered eating area, this entertainment hub includes a traditional southwestern style in-ground pig-roasting/BBQ spit, double restaurant sink, four burner wolf range on propane, and bar. The Party Lanai is ideal for serving meals in conjunction with entertainment at the stage.

The Arbor Stage:
40’X 40’, the stage is cooled and covered by a canopy of arching and graceful madrone trees. There is an electrical sub panel at the stage. Please discuss amperage needs for your specific sound equipment.

The Gate House:
A sweet church-like residence as you enter the property’s main gate, The Gate House is approximately 1200 square feet, and offers a great floor plan with two bedrooms, one outfitted with a queen bed, and the 2nd bedroom with a set of twin beds.. The Gate House includes a full kitchen with dishwasher, electric range and fridge, and in-kitchen eating area. The living room is well appointed with a pot belly stove and pull-out couch for two extras! Amenities include dining set ups for 6, cookware, and full bath with tub.
